Reggae Fest Chicago is a celebration of various reggae genres, including ska, reggaeton, roots reggae, and world music - all "positive vibrations"!  Curated by Chicago music venue, Subterranean, the event features two adjacent stages with alternating non-stop live music programming. In 2016 Reggae Fest Chicago featured the legendary Toots & the Maytals, Iration,  Lee “Scratch" Perry, HEPCAT, Budos Band, Derrick Morgan and many more. The 2017 live music line up is yet to be announced. 


The event features a wide variety of local food vendors, food trucks, handmade artisan and free trade vendors with an emphasis on Caribbean styles and flavors.
Reggae Fest Chicago is a family-friendly event, with fun entertainment for all ages including  live art making onsite, small sided soccer games and soccer tennis activities for kids and adults, and kid's craft making activities.


20% of the Reggae Fest Chicago proceeds will be donated to local non-profits.


Reggae Fest Chicago is co-produced by Optimum Events LLC and Subterranean. Other successful Chicago events produced by members of this team include Do Division Street Fest, West Fest, Wicker Park Fest, Green Music Fest, Pilsen Food Truck Social, and Logan Square Food Truck Social.
